Into the realms of meditation

A quiet space, a quiet stillness that opens us into the realms of meditation.

Can we arrive at an easiness in ourselves, a quiet easiness, a settled easiness, a settled quietness that opens us into the realms of meditation?

Can we feel for this quietness in ourselves? Can we seek for it again and again so as to settle in this quiet stillness of our Being that will open us into the realms of meditation – to discover for ourselves the unfolding Mysteries of ourselves?

Can we have a continual seeking for this quiet stillness that will awaken us to the realms of meditation?

To begin the journey of knowing oneself, knowing the Reality that one is, all you need is yourself – the seeking after this quiet space, this quiet stillness of the Being, the God within, the Inner Guru of which the Outer is the physical, phenomenal reality.

Through the physical presence one is inspired to find the inner presence and the way, the way that will open to us the realms of Self-discovery – to be continually seeking after it, to be continually knocking for it.

To build up an intensity within ourselves, a thirst – a priority above all priorities, a thirst above all thirsts, a seeking after it with the whole of our Being – heart, mind and soul. Can we be seeking constantly building up an intensity?

To build up a force within ourselves, a force of intense seeking, a force that would open us to the realms of meditation.

How to come to this quiet space, how to come to this quiet stillness – how to arrive at silence in ourselves?

Behind and beyond movements, thoughts, feelings – between them – this quiet space, this silence, the ground of your Being – the ground wherein all movements happen – all experiences, feelings and emotions experienced in the freedom of that silence.

How to go beyond restlessness, if one is restless? Do not struggle with it, be aware of it, feel it, breathe into it – then become conscious and aware of yourself, this ground, this Being beyond restlessness.

Take a walk if need be to have more space to work in and to relax – then return.

In this way through time to be able to be settled in this quiet stillness, this silence of our Being that we may open out into the realms of meditation. It requires practice, again and again.

It is an offering of the Self made to oneself – through time beyond time, through the limitation of the self to the infinity of the Self, to the revelations of Self-discovery. Through that Self-discovery to arrive at the Reality, the Reality that abides – God within, God without, God in all things, in all beings, and yet more; God the source, God the universe, and God the transcendent.

Let the whole of your life be a journey, a conscious journey, a journey of seeking-and-finding, a journey of revelations sought within and without.

Seek for the mysteries of yourself within and without – seek them consciously.

Be a mystic, seeker of mysteries – and a mystic never lives in concepts of the Reality – mystic lives in the Revelation of the mysteries.

Every new revelation is a wonder; let it be so. It is never hampered by ideas and concepts even if they be there until the revelations come and the Truth is known. God is a Truth that is a mystery – let it remain so, let it be revealed through revelations and not bound by ideas and concepts. One may have an idea, a concept, as one journeys along, but as we enter into the realms of meditation and the revelations unfold – the mysteries of the Reality, of God – full of wonder is the experience.

Live life as a mystery; let it be new each time. But to find this newness in one’s life, this mystery, this wonder, you must seek and enter into the realms of meditation.

Then it does not matter how simply you live or how grandiosely – be it kingly or be it pauperly, it will always be a wonder. For the wonder is yourself and all that is done or lived by the Self is wonderful, full of wonder – every moment a moment of mystery unfolding its secrets, unfolding revelations, a seed opening out into a flower. Live it, be it – you will live in Eternity.

So seek this quiet space of your Being and the silences of your soul – the grace of all existence, the grace of God will join you in your journey. Seek it with the whole of your Being; seek it with your heart, with your mind, with your soul.

Time is of no consequence for you live in Eternity. It is the intensity of seeking, intensity of the heart, a thirst of the soul that will carry you through.

It is not restlessness and impatience that we must build up in ourselves – it is this inner intensity, this longing in our souls, this thirst of the soul, inner thirst. This thirst must be built up.

It may be a rare moment that one may feel it – build upon it. Build it into a tower that will reach into the skies.

And the grace of God will be working with you.

Again and again the quiet space, again and again the stillness of the Being, again and again the longing in the heart, the thirsting soul – deep thirst, deep longing.

Awakening to a new life, a flight of Self-discovery…

To abide in the Self is to abide in easiness, an inner easiness. It is not the easiness of the physical, the external; it is the easiness of the soul. To reach to this inner easiness, the easiness of the soul, one has to enter through these quiet spaces that opens you out in height and in width; that opens you out all-round.

Amen.
