Breathing

Do the breathing, quick breathing – vigorous breathing, followed by rhythmic breathing. 

Quick breathing – vigorous breathing – until you feel the lightness. This is the energizer.

Now follow it up with the rhythmic breathing.

Long, deep and strong breaths…should be able to hear it – then your attention will stay with it. And the longer the breath the better it is.  This is the harmoniser.

(10 minutes) 

Ten minutes of mantra chant.

You have to keep yourself completely with what you are doing … with the chant.

So Ham…

Ham Sa…

Ten minutes of Silence.

We will remain in silence now for a while.  Deep silence, inner silence.  Go deep within yourself.  Draw yourself inwards to the deeper quietness within.

Have no interest in any thought that may appear.  They are no concern of yours. Remain withdrawing yourself inwards to a deeper quietness.

We will open our eyes now for three minutes.

Be aware of the breeze, of everything outside around you.  Feel the coolness of the breeze.  Relax with the outside.

This is also meditation.  You are being aware of your surroundings.  The light breeze on your body – on your skin.  It is a kind of expansion of your awareness; it is a way of maintaining a spread-out awareness.  Feel the cool breeze touching you.

We will move back in now again, eyes closed. We will chant again for five minutes.

So Ham…

Ham Sa…

It can be silent chanting or it can be loud chanting so that the sound helps you, inspires you. Let it vibrate in your body as if your body is a sound box.

So Ham… 

Ham Sa…

The sound is deepening you in yourself.  Allow yourself to settle deeper in yourself.

So Ham…

 Ham Sa… 

That I am –

I am That.

So Ham…

Ham Sa…

Keep with yourself and the chant  – ignore the thoughts if there are any.

So Ham… 

Ham Sa…

Follow the sound deep into yourself.  It is coming from the depths of your Being, and returning back to the depths of your Being, each time leading you further, deeper into yourself.

So Ham…

Ham Sa…

That I am, I am That – content in myself, settled and free in my Being.

So Ham… 

Ham Sa…

We return once again to the silence for ten minutes.

Deepening in the self, reaching to the silence within, gathering yourself, drawing yourself inwards…

Total contentment in yourself – no thoughts of the past or future!  Live in the present, in the quietness of your Being.

Keep with what you are doing.  Remain within yourself for these ten minutes.  It’s concentration – drawing yourself inwards.

Come to a standstill in yourself, in the deep quietness of your Being.  You may be aware of the sounds outside, but the importance is given to the deeper quietness within.

Now relax with the outside once again in a wider awareness: open your eyes as well as your awareness.

We will stay like this for a few minutes, just relaxing with the outside. Feel the outside, feel one with all things around you.

We will have another spell of chanting now. Ten minutes.

I am That.

Follow the sound to enter deeper in yourself.

So Ham…

Go into silence, deep silence in your Being…
